How a game goes
- Pick a theme, or go straight into general knowledge.
- Matchmaking looks for an opponent near your level.
- Six questions, both players answering at the same time.
- The faster you answer correctly, the more the question is worth.
- The result updates your rating and your place in the league.
Common questions
- What happens if nobody is available?
- After eight seconds of searching, a practice opponent steps in so you are not left staring at a matchmaking screen. Its accuracy scales with question difficulty, and it always answers in time.
- How is the score worked out?
- Each question is worth more the faster you answer it, up to 1,000 points. A slow correct answer is worth less than an instant one — which is what keeps all six questions tense.
- Can I choose the theme?
- Yes. You can start a general-knowledge duel, or pick a specific theme before searching for an opponent.
