Help and support
How to join a game, what an account changes, how energy works, and how to reach us. For how each mode plays, the game pages go into detail.

Joining and playing
- How do I join a friend’s game?
- Two ways: open the link they share, or type their code on the home screen. The code is not a random string — it is a real four-to-six-letter word in your language, chosen to be easy to say out loud: ACORN, AGENT, ALBUM.How a game with friends works →
- Do I need an account to play?
- No. A nickname is enough to join a game and play — no email, no password. An account is for keeping your progress if you change phone, and for using the AI quiz generator.
- The code does not work.
- A code is only live for the game it opens: once the lobby closes, the word goes back into the pool and can be used elsewhere. Check too that you are in the same language as the host — the words come from a per-language list. If the lobby really is open and the code is refused, write to us.
- How many players fit in a game?
- Up to 100 in a custom game. In practice an evening runs with three to eight players, and the rhythm holds up to about twenty.
Account and progress
- How do I create an account?
- In Settings, or when the game asks. By email and password, or with Google or Apple. Your guest progress is kept: the account attaches to the player you already are rather than making a new one.
- I changed phone and lost everything.
- A game played without an account lives on the device — there is nothing that could recognise you elsewhere. If you had linked an account, sign in with it and everything comes back. If not, the earlier progress cannot be recovered, which is exactly what an account prevents.
- How do I delete my account?
- Settings → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent: the account, your quizzes and the related data go with it. We keep no copy. What we keep, and for how long →
AI quizzes and energy
- Why does the generator ask for an account?
- Generating a quiz runs a live web search and then two models, every time. It is limited to registered players so that it is attributable to someone. The account is free. How the generator works →
- What is energy, and why have I run out?
- Each generated quiz costs 10 energy from a pool of 30, and one point comes back every ten minutes. So three in a row, then roughly one more every hundred minutes. Playing costs nothing: energy is only for generation.
- An answer is wrong.
- Report the question from the game — the button is on the result screen. Generated questions go through a second AI that has to solve them without the answer key, but when the web search fails a fallback model takes over, and that one can be wrong. A report is what lets us pull the question.
Notifications, language and data
- How do I turn notifications off?
- They are off until you turn them on, and they go off again in Settings or in your phone’s settings. We only store a notification token if you enabled them.
- How do I change the language of the questions?
- In Settings. The language you pick decides the official questions, the invite word drawn for your games, and the interface.
- What data do you keep about me?
- The nickname, a random identifier, your quizzes, your results and your game history; an email only if you created an account. The full detail, section by section, is in the privacy policy — the same text as in the app.Privacy policy →
