Two-player quiz: head to head, or as a couple
With two people a quiz does not need a leaderboard to feel tense — it only needs the other person to see your score.

How a game goes
- Two ways to play with two: a custom game, where you pick the theme and the length, or a ranked duel, where the opponent is found for you.
- In a custom game one of you creates it and shares the code, the other types it in. Nothing else to set but the theme and the length.
- Pick a theme where you are not evenly matched. A two-player quiz gets interesting when each of you has your own questions — not when both know everything or nothing.
- Six questions is enough for a head to head. Past that the gap widens and the ending is settled before you reach it.
- The score shows after every question, which is the whole mechanic: with two people there is nowhere to hide.
Common questions
- Can two people play on their own?
- Yes. A custom game works from two players up, and the ranked duel is built for exactly this: six questions, one opponent, scored by speed as well as accuracy.
- Do we have to be in the same room?
- No. Each of you plays on your own phone, so a two-player quiz works just as well remotely — the same mechanism as for a group, with two people in it.
- Which theme when you know each other well?
- The one where you are not evenly matched. A theme one of you knows and the other does not makes a better game than a neutral one, because each of you is waiting for your own questions.
- Is this a questions-about-us couples game?
- No, and the distinction matters: these are general-knowledge and themed questions, not "who said it first" ones. If you want a personal-questions game, this is not the right tool.
